Although the plastic, wooden and Orga-line cutlery and utensil inserts will fit all types of Blum Drawers, all the deep drawer storage sets are designed for specific types of Blum drawers and are not interchangeable. Therefore its important you identify your drawer type. If an item can only fit in a specific drawer type, this is stated at the top of the description.

Q. What Drawers Do I Have?

A. The first step is find out the manufacturer. Take your drawer out and look at the runners. The left runners will be stamped Blum or Hettich. For Hettich, this is in the middle and Blum towards the front.

Determine Your Drawer Type:

Blum - Deep/pan drawers

Tandembox - Metallic grey colour. Has round gallery rails running from the front to the back of your drawer (may be fitted with Twin wall box sides over these). If twin wall box sides not already fitted, please check the internal size of the drawer back is at least 183mm high.

Antaro - Available in a variety of finishes. – Characterised by a rectangular gallery rail. May have glass design elements between gallery rail and drawer side.

Intivo - No gallery rail. Will have a glass or metal design element to give the drawer an enclosed side.

Hettich - Deep/pan drawers

Innotech - Smooth drawer sides with curved top edge. May have round gallery rails and can have a glass design element

Arcitech - Smooth drawer sides with an angled edge at the top. May have Rectangular gallery rails and can have a glass design element.

Q. How Do I Select The Correct Width?

A. All our products are displayed as the total drawer width to simplify the ordering process. Initially you need to check your cabinet side panels are constructed from 18mm thick panels. Then all you need to do is measure the width of the drawer front which will either be 150, 300, 400, 450, 500, 600, 800, 900 or 1000mm. We have already made allowances for your runners etc. Framed Kitchens/Bespoke kitchens. See * below

Q. How Do I Select The Correct Length For My Chosen Product?

Blum

A. Generally there are two lengths of Blum drawers, 450mm and 500mm. To find which you have look underneath your drawer. On the left hand drawer side at the front, there will be a model number. The numbers will start 358M and then have the length of the drawer followed by 2S or 2l. Eg 358M4502S is a 450mm length drawer. Whereas 358M5002S is a 500mm long drawer.

Hettich

A. Pull the drawer out; stamped on the left runner it will say 470, 520 or 620. We currently only stock accessories for the 470 variant. Please contact us for other sizes.

Q. Do I Require Twin Wall Boxsides For My Blum Drawers?

Tandembox - A. If you intend to use the pan, provision, spice, cake tin/ baking tray, plate holders, plastic container or bottle dividers you will need to make sure that you have twin wall boxsides.
Many Blum drawers are provided with just gallery rails. Twin wall boxsides provide a solid side to drawers and have many elongated holes punched in the sides to accept location pins within the dividers. The boxsides simply clip over the round gallery rail that travels from the back of the drawer to the reverse of the drawer front. Boxsides are not available for the rectangular rails, however these can be replaced by round ones. Please contact us for more information.

N.B. The distance from the top of the drawer side to the top of the gallery rail needs to be a minimum of 120mm and an internal drawer back height of at least 183mm.

Antaro - A. These have rectangular gallery rails which Antaro cross dividers can attach. Glass boxsides allow you to make maximum use of the available space, whilst adding an additional design element. Please contact us for more information.

* Framed Kitchens/bespoke drawers are normally 36mm smaller in width than standard Blum drawers, therefore you would need to trim the components to fit. For wooden cutlery trays we offer an expandable version which is ideal to avoid trimming.

Drawers

The drawers we stock are designed for cabinet sides of 18mm, however, if yours are 15mm, please let us know and we can provide spacers. Be aware if fitting Blum drawers behind a cupboard door, you may require Zero protrusion hinges to allow the drawers to clear the cabinet door.

All our drawers have full metal backs as this is the stronger option and maximises the use of your cabinet space. If you have a framed or bespoke size kitchens, please contact us for alternate options.

Hinges

Please contact us if you require any alternate Hettich or Blum hinges as we can quickly supply many types.

Q. What Size Door Hole Do I Require?

A. The hinges all fit in a 35mm bore hole. Each type of hinge require a differant depth, please check the technical guide on the chosen hinge product page.

Kitchen Doors

Measuring Guide

Measure your doors in millimetres.

Measure the back of each drawer and door as the front may be profiled around the edges. As a general rule doors are 4mm smaller than the cabinet,so that the doors do not clash when opening.

Measure every door and drawer, in case of any slight variant.

When listing dimensions measure the height, then width.

If you require holes drilling for hinges, consider whether the new doors are going to be right or left handed. (A right hand door opens to the right, and a left hand door opens towards the left.)

Hinge holes: We can drill these in the doors for you. To do this we will need the following measurements. Measure the centre of the 35mm hole for the hinge cup from the top of the door.

For a middle hinge from the top of the door to  the middle of where you want the 35mm hole as above and again from the bottom of the door to this position.

For the bottom hinge cup, take your measurements from the bottom of the door, again to the centre of where you wish the hinge cup to be.

*Double check you have the correct number of doors and your measurements carefully. Don’t assume that all the hinge holes are the same on all your doors.
